NYSTQHYA CONGRESS NYATT TEAM LETTER OF INTENT
Deadline: This form must be submitted to the Youth Advisor by July 31, 2008.
Congress NYATT Team Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be a member in good standing of NYSTQHYA. Member is NOT required to be a resident of New York State. However, if qualified in two states, must choose which state by July 1, 2008.
2. Must have exhibited the same horse between January 1, 2008 and July 31, 2008. In case of injury, illness or death of a horse, a substitution will be allowed up until July 31st with no loss of point standing for the team. A vet certificate will be required in this case.
3. Qualifying is based on AQHA points, with the first and second highest points earned in each class being eligible for the NYSTQHYA team for that class. There are NO point minimums. All AQHA pointed shows are eligible. No show is mandatory, and you may choose up to Five (5) shows to be pointed for the team. Novice points will NOT count towards qualification. All shows that you choose to be used for points must be turned into the Youth advisor no later than July 31, 2008 so that points may be tallied and the entries to Congress sent in on time.
4. Must attend 4 meetings between January 1, 2008 and July 31, 2008, with the July meeting as an absolute requirement for all team aspirants.
5. Must participate in Three (3) fundraisers prior to July 31, 2008. The Youth President has a list of the fundraisers planned.
6. Must work at the NYSTQHYA show on September 28, 2008. Any team member not helping will NOT be allowed to go to Congress with the team regardless of point standing.
